The Essence of the
THEORY OF TRAN∫ITIVITY
Conventional scientists claim they deal only with observations in their sciences, and Tran∫itivity too deals with observations. However, unlike conventional sciences, Tran∫itivity is very strict about this and it excludes anything that is not observations.
Things out there are not observations. Only observations of those things are observations. This statement could be confusing just a few decades ago. Digital information, some combinations of 0’s and 1’s, is fed into a processor (e.g., a computer) and the processor produces movies, music or books. Similarly, information from things out there is fed to our brains and our brains produce observations such as seeing, hearing, and smelling. In the case of processors such as computers, we realize that those 0’s and 1’s are not movies, music or books. Strictly speaking, for our own case, we are not aware of information fed to us. We are aware only of the outputs, namely our seeing, hearing, smelling, etc. It would be like computers not being aware of those 0’s and 1’s, but only aware of the resulting movies, music and books. Were we computers, we could not study those 0’s and 1’s simply because we would not be aware of them; we can only study the resulting movies, music and books because they are what we are aware of. Information comes from those things out there, but Tran∫itivity does not deal with those things; it deals instead with the observations: what we see, what we hear, what we smell, etc. Tran∫itivity does not deal with trees out there, but it deals with our observations of those trees. Tran∫itivity does not deal with those fleeing galaxies, but it deals with the astronomical data, actual or potential, of those fleeing galaxies.
Things out there are unique. However, observations of them depend on what information has been used, how the information has been processed and how the results are produced as outputs. Thus, observations are no longer unique. (In the case of the processor, for the same set of digital information, there can be fuzzy black and white pictures, clear color pictures, small pictures, big pictures, or no pictures … or music, scratchy sounds or silence … or different fonts and languages or illegible symbols, etc.) Unlike conventional sciences where we are not quite sure whether we are dealing with things out there or with observations (resulting in confusion), it is quite clear in Tran∫itivity that we are strictly dealing with observations. Since observations are not unique, it is recognized in Tran∫itivity that there can be many varieties of sciences. With Tran∫itivity we are very open-minded.
Furthermore, Tran∫itivity focuses on observations of changes. For instance, we are not interested in our observed location in space. Instead, our focus is on a change in our observed location (obviating the problem of not being able to observe our actual location in space). We use a term, transition, to signify observed changes. Since we are dealing with transitions, we name our approach Theory of Tran∫itivity.
Like in conventional sciences, Tran∫itivity establishes relationships mathematically. This requires that all transitions are quantifiable. This is an additional restriction. Any non-mathematical method will need no numbers and can address non-quantifiable transitions. Right from the start, we are already humbled realizing that there can be many sciences. Any complete science should be able to deal with both quantifiable and non-quantifiable transitions. Tran∫itivity is merely one kind of science and it is restricted only to quantifiable transitions. On the other hand, we cannot be impressed by those who claim that they will ultimately “know it all” with their brand of sciences and that any other kind of science is wrong. These individuals have closed their minds shut.
Any quantity in Tran∫itivity is an observed quantity, and not to be repetitive, we will henceforth refer to “an observed quantity” simply as “a quantity”.
Let us now say there is a transition dt which will have as its components dx1, dx2, dx3, … , dxn.
The change dx1 can be a particle moving from one position to another, dx2 can be a candle burning, say, dx2 inch, dx3 can be a movement of the hands of a clock, dx4 can be a person undergoing a bundle of changes (aging), … , and so forth itemizing possibly infinite numbers of changes.
Tran∫itivity is a mathematical study of transition dt and its relationship with its component changes.
Remarkably, among all these myriads of changes, time cannot be included. If puzzled, one should inquire whether or not anyone in the entire Universe has ever observed time or a change of time. The change in position of the sun is not time; it is simply just the movement of the Sun, or rotation of the Earth. Seasonal changes only indicate the Earth orbiting the Sun. A person aging simply means he has undergone a bundle of changes. A clock changing the positions of its hands is not time; it again is just the movement within the clock. Even if there were ether flowing in space, it only would mean that ether is flowing there. In short, no one can observe time because there is no such entity out there. Time is only a product of our intuition.
Some might insist that time is the entity which is embodied in the movement of the Sun, seasonal changes, people getting old, etc. However, the actual embodied entity among these observations is change.
Einstein handled the situation wisely. Had he claimed that time does not exist, the close-minded scientists might not accept him. He stopped at time being relative. Most likely, he might have preferred to have said that time is nonexistent. Those who do not respect and admire this genius enough must, at least, admit that he was going in the right direction … only that he did not go far enough.
Tran∫itivity deals only and strictly with observations, and time must be eliminated. Because of this fundamental difference, we have claimed that the Theory of Tran∫itivity is a new science. It affects not just physics, but all sciences, and in fact the entire human outlook.
By eliminating time, mathematical equations are simpler, the energy-mass relationship is corrected, the essence of theories of relativity are preserved regardless of whether light has the highest speed or not, and four-dimensional space emerges explaining the observational data without violating fundamental laws of physics. The Universe is expanding while maintaining its mass-energy density in space. It is generating dark energy to explode itself continually. Microwave radiation originates from the edge of the observable Universe, and galaxies beyond the edge generate dark energy. A fraction of dark energy may transform into matter, either dark or “normal”. However, since they are all different forms of the same entity, those form changes do not affect the overall scheme of things.
